Nicknames are such a common thing. Are you a fan of nicknames? Do you have secret nicknames for loved ones? Do you use nicknames for any of the forumites? Do you mind ppl calling you by a nickname?

I have a dislike for nicknames , but it’s a very serious problem

It’s not nicknames per se ... it’s more when people add a certain letter to names

I do struggle with some names on here so I do change them a bit. It could just be an abbreviation or a slight tweak to how the name appears. If I don’t like the name then I will give them a nickname

And no, I won’t tell you who or what

My kids get called the same name with the prefixes big or little depending on which one I’m talking to. It’s a joke between the 3 of us

I hate nicknames.

I like actual names & I find it hard to call someone a name different than what I've been introduced to them as. Fab is wild for that.

Saying that, I prefer the shortened version of my own name, unless I'm being told off

It’s ppls inability to pronounce my name correctly that prompted me to shorten mine
