Happy ending...

Once upon a time a woman on fab met a young guy for fun. He was friendly and fun and over the next 4 months she laughed and laughed and felt alive. He then suggested they make things official.. it took her 6 weeks to agonise over the decision as she was very independent. The dreams he painted she decided she was just being stubbornly independent.

The dreams began to shatter as the extreme jealousy crept in, the violence, the control. 21 months later she called the police as she didnt know what to do as she was so scared and trapped. 2 years and 2 months of making statements, court hearings and uncertainty, he finally stood in court today and pleaded guilty to harassment with fear of violence and controlling and coercive behaviour. She now feels she can finally move on, she lost everything, but she wont be a victim, she will use her experiences for good.

Sentencing is on 19th oct and she will go to face him, show him she is no longer scared, she is strong and she won.

Fabulous. Well done for being strong and seeing it through. Hope you've been supported well throughout this process. He may not get just deserts at court but that's another story. You can hold your head up high.

Im n9t worried about the sentence, the main thing is he is now recognised as a perpetrator of dv. What i have done will help future victims

I know someone else who is a survivor of such an ordeal. She is a wonderful woman and has moved on passed it with it all behind her now. Chin up and get on with being you and happy. I hope he gets the punishment that’s deserved.

Well done for standing tall.
