no its not but for some it is...hence many relationships breakdown

Not sure about asking for someones trust, you can only really earn it through honesty and demonstrating that you trust them.

If you have to ask for someones honesty it's usually too late. They've either already been dishonest or you for some reason don't trust their honesty.

So maybe it is too much to ask if you find yourself having to actually ask it.

depends on what level you're talking

if we're talking one off fun, as long as i have their trust, their level of honesty is something else

if we are talking relationship wise, i would say that both are conducive to longevity - as is understanding, as is allowing the other person to flourish in their own right.

depends in which context. do i need to be truthful and honest with mr joe bloggs of the street? people have to earn trust, well with me they do. but in a relationship its the two major factors.

I expect trust, honesty and integrity in a person.

It is unlikely a person would be firm friends if they are missing.

I've often asked that myself. Treat people how you would like to be treated. If they can not do the same. Then their not worth knowing.

Trust and honesty are two major factors in any friend/relationship.

Its a sad fact of life that not all think the same.....

Trust is hard to earn, honesty is an option for each individual, to have and share both is a rare quality.

Forums, chat and likewise are just peoples way of having an alter ego and escapism, more often than not giving individuals an excuse to bullshit!

Meet them face to face and it can burst the bubble of who you thought someone is/was.
