"A lot of motivation can be around setting yourself goals and targets ![]() ![]() ![]() The gym is actually next to work, and I live 20 miles away. Mornings just don't work out because of mainly work related and other issues, evening is just the time that works, or doesn't as it seems! I have a final target, weight and fitness wise - i'm doing the gym to get fit and tone up, rather than lose weight. Once I reach that I have a tattoo planned .. that's the reward side.. | |||

"Mrs Pip here. So, I joined the gym about a year ago, after being diagnosed with arthritis in both knees, at some kind of advanced stage. I decided that I was going to help fix the problem my weight and choice of lifestyle has cause. I lost around 7 stones with slimming world (3 or 4 years ago), but ended up putting a couple back on when the honeymoon period of being a size 12 set in. I stopped going to the gym when I went on holiday in June. I've since returned to slimming world and am nearly at a stone loss. So I can get back to eating what I should, but every time I finish work, coming home seems far more appealing than going to the gym. So much so I've only been once since I came back from holiday. So my question, how do you motivate yourself to go and do whatever exercise it may be? In need of suggestions, because once I'm there, I love it! Positive suggestions, play nice please people ![]() Does it have to be a gym plenty of ways to get exercise eg cycling squash tennis badminton swimming and they require somebody to do it with which can be a motivation ![]() | |||
