Is this really as big a no no as my friends make out?

It's recycling day tomorrow and I have rather a lot. Too much for one bin. The church over the road always has next to nothing in so sometimes I nip over and put my extra in there.

Am I going to hell?

I would say that is the very spirit of community I’m sure the church won’t mind. A persons house not so much. We often share garden bins in my lane but ask first

I believe "Though Shall not use Neighbours bins" is one of the ten commandments, so yes

If their bin isn’t full on collection morning there’s no problem putting your extra recycling there imo

Its better to do that than sending it to landfill

I keep my bins clean and some filthy bastard keeps putting unbagged food waste in my kerbside caddy. If I catch them, it will not go well..

As long as it’s the right stuff for the bin then I don’t see it being a problem. My mom and her neighbour do it all the time with garden waste. I have two bins and mine despite doing lots of recycling are always full on bin day so no room for anybody else to put stuff in x

Surely all of the domestic bins belong to the council rather than individuals?

My recycle bins belong to the council but I had to buy my own general waste bin.

I don't have a problem with people popping something in my bin on collection morning. It has to be in the right bin.

I was really annoyed when someone filled my bin up completely the day after bin day when I had another 2 weeks before it got emptied!

The Town by The Cross

All houses here are given the same number of bins for various waste.

I only half fill mine but I would expect a neighbour to ASK if they can use my bin. After all I am liable for what is in it.

It is NOT a public bin even if it belongs to the council.

I'd never say no to a neighbour or anyone but just using it is a huge fuck off NO.
