"How many of yoi that live alone make the effort to cook a decent meal just for yourself ? Like today for instance, would you do a full roast just for you ?" I do cook properly but it's meals I enjoy the most and full Sunday roasts don't particularly do it for me. Some days I just fancy good old beans on toast

"I have cooked full roast dinners just for myself but I have one at lunch time then another one for supper and will have one the next day,but I love roast dinners and would happily eat one every day. Today I'm doing one but my daughter will have one, my sister is coming over to have one and I'll take one down to my mother for when she finishes work. I'm excited about my roasties today, I've been sprinkling them with a bit of plain flour when they're in the tray but today I'm parboiling for exactly 12 mins, allowing them to dry for 3 mins then sprinkling with plain flour and then fluffing them so that should give an even coat of flour on all sides for perfect crispage and then into spitting hot fat to roast. Exciting times " Thanks for the tip, will try that today

"Roast pork for friends today. Did it midweek and the crackling was superb. It's August so out of season for me but it's pissing down so I'm okay with it." Talk me through your pork prep and crackling.

Talk me through your pork prep and crackling. " Mines as follows, oven to max preheated. Dry off the pork, slight smear with oil, liberal amount of salt and a twist of pepper. In the oven for 20 mins (at max) then turn down to 170 for the remainder of cookimg time. When cooked, cut off the crackling and i usually finish of in mkcrowave to get it really crackling.

"How many of yoi that live alone make the effort to cook a decent meal just for yourself ? Like today for instance, would you do a full roast just for you ?" Yes, I do and would. I prefer to eat properly and cook from scratch. However, today will be mainly alcohol and a pub lunch as out all day.
