If you’d pissed them off, they’d have blocked you. People hide for a plethora of reasons, it’s unlikely to be about you.

We've hidden ours when in a very remote space visiting family it would have been bleeding obvious who we were x

I hide a lot. Just unhid but had to put all message barriers up to do so People don’t read profiles #sob

I hide when I don’t want to be noticed by people I know eg in obvious places or when I’ve not got through my messages. Also, if I don’t want to meet I guess? More likely if you’d been blocked

Mine is hidden purely coz I'm not well and can't meet. Still chat to my friends tho. I wouldn't worry too much, lots do it for various reason so I've noticed xx
