Dear friends Fabbers and Forumites.

I've had the most wonderful evening . Pooch and I wandered in one of our favourite places .

The sky was a cauldron of fire with the greys whisps of late evening clouds.

We paused to sit and look out over the sea , one of my favourite pieces of classical music popped on my random selection of music .

The The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams .

I was instantly transported to late summer evenings , when pooch was a pup . He used to skip and play in the fields around Taff towers . The larks and house Martins trailing in his wake , as his bounding raised up insects . They caught them on the wing.

So what music reminds you of somthi g or a time a place or person

Taff and Pooch

I love that piece!

Every milestone and significant other in my life has some kind of soundtrack attached. Music punctuates everything for me.

Joseph Canteloube: Songs of the Auvergne - Bailero

Family camping holiday in the Auvergne as a child; specifically a car journey where I was sitting in the back seat with the window down, leaning out, and the sun streaming in as my parents drove, looking out at the countryside whilst this was playing in the car’s cassette player. I was lost in the music, every time I hear it now, I’m straight back in that car my chest bursting with the adventures of the holiday, the foods, the new pen pals made, the wildlife discovered, the tents and camping, the language.
