Honestly I think Henry Caville would make a good bond if he can do a good English accent. Get back to the suarve days of bond with gadgets too. I find Daniel Craig's bond boring and just like any other action film

Daniel Craig as his version of Casino Royale is my fave Bond film so far.

I’d like Jude Law.

He’d need to work on his combat skills but he’s a good actor and very handsome although at 45 he may be a bit old now.

I am so sad that Idris won't be playing the new bond. He's just so bloody gorgeous!!

I'm not entirely sure who I would like to play the new bond. I'm going to go with Hugh Jackman because I just like him on my screen.

As for my favourite, Sean Connery is my favourite but pierce Brosnan was bloody sexy as bond!

Henry Caville

He is 35 so he wont look like a dirty old man with the women and can do 4 or 5 bond films. He has said he wants to do it. He said his stunt training on superman/mission impossible would allow him to do the stunts himself. He wants to be a high impact super aggressive Bond with big stunts.

Idris would have been good 10 years ago, but there is a fine line between pulling off a playboy and a dirty old man.

Daniel Craig is the worst bond. He looks like a handbag put through the wash for 50 years old. He is creepy when flirting, his action scenes are terrible, and the scripts have been awful. He has handed the crown over to Mission Impossible as the fun, action film to go see, and he should be ashamed. His flirting consists of following sex slaves into the shower quietly without a word having sex with them... He catches the top hacker on the planet with a radio in the heel of his shoe? Its just weird, creepy, and total nonsense. Also it rages me out that he failed his mission and gets welcomed back to mi6 despite getting the head of mi6 killed??????

Disobeying orders and failing the mission???

Anyway his films are crap

Who was the best?

Probably Roger Moore.

Sean connery was great but he messed about with that unoffical bond that takes him down a step.

Dalton was great, did a mean, realistic Bond but only did two.

Lazenby was a bit strange but good, and only did one so its very hard to place him high.

That leaves us with Brosnan, who did 4, and had a great run, and had some great films and of course had the most success from a Bond Game, so he would have to be either 2 or 3.

Bond was in his 50’s in the books if I recall, blonde with a scar on his face.

I think Tom Hiddleston is a good shout, would need to put some beef on though

Ha! I had no idea, I've only ever seen him do American accents or the 'transatlantic' English. Just assumed he was American. Point still stands though, he'd make a great bond, you only need to watch 'the man from uncle', to see it

People say Tom Hardy just because he's good looking, he's not suited at all to play bond, unless you want the next generation of bond to just be your stereotypical 'hard man', I like Tom Hardy but he's pretty much only good at playing psychopaths and tough guys.

Fassbender could be interesting and he is a very good actor but I'm sticking with Caville as my pick

I agree with your opinions regarding Hardy. He is awesome and can put his hand to many roles but not Bond!

I do love the idea of Fassbender, he has the sexual brooding down but far too used to seeing him in roles where he is often a victim of angst. Not very Bond.

Caville may well be a good bond!

Tom hardy would be fab and though he has a reputation for playing psychos - Bronson, mad max fury road, pesky blinders, etc there is no one quite like him for brooding intensity and physical presence. He was very good in tinker tailor soldier spy too.

Tom hiddleston is asexual and boring.

Henry Cavill could pull it off but I think we might have a return to old school jokey bond - check his napoleon solo.

Idris would have been amazing twenty years ago - he was fantastic in the wire.

So...the winner is Michael Fassbender, tall, manly, intense, predatory, and he could fill the Daniel Craig angst requirements.

Sean was always the best though....such a sexy manly man. I met him once when I was a kid and he had presence in spades!

True story, Sean Connery was in a bar a good few years ago & we were in the same establishment having a drink Sean came over at the bar & we got chatting , one of the lads with us said “ hey Sean who was the best shag you’ve had ? “ & he politely said “ come on lads I’m out with my wife “ so we left it at that . At the end of the evening we noticed Sean walking towards us he just lent forward to us and in his quiet voice said ........ smiled and walked off , absolutely quality

Great call with Luke Evans

Despite the film being sub par, he was great in Dracula Untold and hammed it up (suitably) to glory as Gaston in Beauty And The Beast.

He’d be a great Bond; There’s an air of menace to his looks and he certainly has an imposing presence.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Update: Aiden Turner (presently hotly tipped for the role) is on record as stating that he will look into playing Bond when Craig steps down.

The fifth and apparently final series of Poldark is being filmed right now so he’ll certainly be free to peruse new roles afterwards.

Not only that, but prior to passing, Sir Roger Moore gave his opinion that Aiden should indeed get the role (high praise indeed!)

Now.....how about Jack Farthing (George Warleggan) as the villain?
