You can get abuse back for a polite no thanks. The person can continue to pester to try and change their mind. It breaks any subsequent filter they may want to apply. They may message again weeks later not realising they've already messaged you. Because no one is entitled to anything on here, its your freedom of choice to message as its theirs to not relpy. Just delete all your sent mail as soon as its sent, then you won't know what the recipient has done with it. You'll either get a reply or you won't. | |||

So therefore, why bother indulging in conversation, even if it is a ‘thanks but not thanks’, when you could open yourself to potential abuse.
