An x reg 82 ford fiesta in faded red that me and my best mate used to roll around in. It had a massive back sticker on the rear window of a cartoon bloke mooning at all and sundry, but we ripped that out within an hour. Bought for 35 quid and scrapped for 50. Who says there's no profit in the motor industry?

A 'Y' reg Ford Sierra

It was ace.

Had wing mirrors that flipped in once you hot 50mph so the only view on a motorway was my own knees.

Was 2 shades of blue cos I bought the wrong shade after patching up some rust.

My niece was sick in the back of it after gulping vimto so depending on what way the wind was blowing, it smelled of dettol, vimto or sick.

Oh, and it used to ice up on the inside.

Ours was a Renault 25 great big tank of a car Mr B tried to teach me to drive in it but it frightened the life outta me

It had many quirks but he loved it and I'm sure I saw tears in his eyes the day she died

I still haven't owned my own first car I only passed 18 months ago and we share our Megane so not got any old banger stories here

the older model then with the huuuuuuuuuuuuge bonnet

maybe the one i see knocking about is an older model that has been 'pimped' in the JPS colours ?

Austin A35 van with side windows added. Small round heater under the dash (such as the dash was! ) Semaphore arms as indicators. Absolutely no safety features and solid metal everywhere! It was given to us by my parents as an engagement present. Loved that thing!"

Yay! I had one of them for my first car too! It was my father`s cast-off and cost me nowt so I went all silly and grafted a Riley 1.5 engine in it! When I blew that engine up, it was an MGB engine that replaced it! Sadly, it only lasted a fourtnite like that as some twat pulled out into my path on night and I was unable to stop.

Ha ha ha... My second car was a split screen Morris Minor! Out came the 805cc lump and in went a Sprite 1500. That lasted about two weeks as well... The extra power ripped the rear axle off! (Knew I should have done some welding first) lol

Accelerated one day and the front pair of rear spring hangers dropped and went into the raised hump at our works car park.. The car went up in the air by about 4 feet and came down with a crash!

Axle, rear springs and prop shaft we deposited in the car park and I carried on for about 20 feet on two wheels! lol

Great days!
