Anyone know of any fixes. Today is a bad day. Im not a lover of medication. Do you ever feel like stretching till you crack.

Visit a sports physio, cyropractor or dirty old massage parlour

Pilates. I used to have horrible back pain. Found Pilates really helpful. Cleared up the pain then got me into the gym.

As above, a register chiropractor or physio.. pleas do not let a “friend” give you a massage, can do more damage than good!!

Whatever you do don’t stop moving. Arm swings and gentle back twists. Cat yoga pose. Go see a professional as above

Inversions are often good for back pain although I would seek professional advice first.

I’m in the same boat as you OP I get sciatica occasionally which usually lasts a couple of days. 10 days now and still in agony. It’s playing havoc with my swinging..... ouch

I should imagine one need to find out professionally what the problem is first or it’s just guess work

Yup, me too.

Keep moving and warm.

Long term, sort your core out. Pilates, yoga etc. Once you're back to normal, get exercising your core.

No instant fixes I'm afraid!

Keep moving.

My back seized up about 5 weeks ago.

Called the NHS.

Because I did not have symptoms of any underlying problem - tingling, urinary trouble - the advice was painkillers, ibuprofen and move as much as you can.

It was five days before I could cross the front door.

Been to the chiropractor since then. He diagnosed ligament damage at the base of the spin and has been yanking me back into shape.

I now have pain in the shoulder area, but that's another story lol

Keep moving, use it or lose it is a saying I’ve heard relating to backs.

Have you tried an ice pack and heat too ?

There are stretches that can help, but it depends which part hurts and what exactly you’ve done. Osteopath’s are usually fantastic in helping with a bad back. Hope it gets better soon.
