Severe weight loss/weight gain does affect how the lines in your face look so 6 months isn't completely unreasonable.... it's why passport/driver licence photos need to be no more than 90 days old.

I usually ask for pics no older than 3 months... esp if the guy has tendency to grow facial hair as I loathe beards.

I've not changed much since February this year that's for sure..I know I look in the mirror daily.

My face is often used around Halloween for the moulds of scary masks.

My passport photo is four years old... It will be 10 years old when I come to replace it.

I'm still recognised by people who haven't seen me since primary school, more than 40 years ago.
