Back in the day, i was never any sort of Bowie fan. That said though, "Changes" was just a fantastic song. The music and lyrics just took you along...........easily his best song in my mind.

Many of these are from the Ziggy years.

His latest stuff was quite different but still class Bowie.

Young Americans with Heroes a very close second - when they used that for the British athletes to walk out to at London 2012 it was one of those perfect moments in life where the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end even years later when you just think about it

It’s impossible to choose , I remember as a child hearing space oddity and thinking wow , I guess I was eight . Then when I started secondary school all the cool kids were listening to Ziggy Stardust and I thought again that this was one cool dude .

And so fast forward , Aladdin Sane , the thin white duke , the musicals , absolute beginners , cat people , the man who fell to earth , then stuff like China girl , under pressure and right up to the end some amazing songs and by then I’m in my fifties !
