You discovered one of your kids was on here?

(Assume they are over 18 - let’s not take this anywhere else).

It’s happened OP. It spilled onto the Forums as it got quite messy when they started frequenting the same clubs and men.

I think we'd probably leave the site. At the very least we'd put all our pictures to private and block them. Since we get a lot of pleasure from taking and posting pictures that would mean a big part of the fun was gone.

Would anyone actively encourage their adult children to create a profile? If it’s good for you, might it not be good for them?

"Would anyone actively encourage their adult children to create a profile? If it’s good for you, might it not be good for them? "

I wouldn't encourage no, I'd be quite concerned if they joined at a young age. Hence another reason that I would chat to them. Parents are there for children about absolutely everything in life, even when things are awkward.

I'd be a little upset that they felt the need, my lad is 22 and has a beautiful wife and child. I'd want them to be concentrating on themselves for a few more years, 10 or so, at least.

"Would anyone actively encourage their adult children to create a profile? If it’s good for you, might it not be good for them? "

No. I feel that our kids sex life is something they need to build for themselves. Obviously if one of them came to us with a problem we would give advice but actively encouraging one course of action is asking for trouble if it goes wrong. The only time we would actively encourage would be to leave an abusive situation.

Hiding in the shadows

I've spotted several of my eldest sons friends on here, and blocked them.

It's one of the reasons, I have my filters set to 35.

If I did spot my son on here, I'd be hoping it was a couples profile with his GF and not as single too!

And yes, we'd talk.

I've always raised my children to be open minded, they know they can ask me anything.

I've been a shoulder to a lot of his friends in their teens/early 20s, and having issues dealing with their sexuality, coming out as gay, bi & 1 TG.

I don't see it would be an issue between us, but just something to be aware of when chatting to people "Yeah I shagged your mum" might not go down well

It won't happen as my daughter is way too much of a prude, however if it did, just block and leave it at that.

I brought her up well enough to make her own decisions.

It's pretty standard banter amongst that generation...

True story from when I was at Chams one evening, Following a young couple down the stairs to where the jacuzzis and door to the bar area are when at the bottom an older lady waiting said "What are YOU doing here?" To which her daughter (as it turned out) said "Probably the same as you Mum. Hello Dad"

It's probably easier for parents than kids to be honest.

I mean, at least you spent the first few years seeing them naked all the time so there's slightly less chance of inadvertently fabbing one of their photos
