"Just got in the current bill. Its been adjusted to take into account our reduced gas usage, a projected(by them) raised electric usage and our previous 6 months usage. The new direct debit has gone from £87 per month to £195 per month They're not only after a pint of blood, they want to cut our throats and bleed us dry! "well glad its not only us being ripped off 9not that it makes it any better for everyone). As to moving tariffs, the comparison website already said we are on the cheapest with Npower. " They all would rather have money up front but if you are not in a fixed tariff that's not a bad thing. You could end up paying for next years fuel at this years prices which may be a difference of up to 20% its a better return than money in the bank. (Just make sure meeter readings are higher now)

You pay whatever the rate is at the time you use it, so you could be buying fuel that is cheaper now but when you use it it is more expensive thus devalueing the money you've already paid. Plus you can't charge them interest on your money they are holding onto. It's fucking scandalous!
