Running with Monkeys

All my ordering has to go through my area manager, it's coming upto christmas, I'm in a city centre pub so more than likely going to start getting busier. Common sense is to order a little extra each week to make sure i have enough to last until i get my next delivery.

Not my company, for the last 4 weeks they've halved my orders. i get my delivery on a thursday and im starting to run out on a saturday night.

I have ran pubs and that should not happen at this time of year.

Doesn't matter what time year, or what business, the last thing you want to do is turn customers away.

anywhere

sounds like the company you are working for has financial problems and are working for cash flow and no money or credit to buy stock.

southend

I work in a pub/restaurant for a chain, and we have really busy Sunday lunches/dinners. Every Sunday since I started there (8 weeks), we have run out of Sunday roasts. We offer 3 types, and we run out every week by around 2.30pm.

Sound more like the former, your priority is to sell as much as possible.

Looks like either they have had their credit limit slashed or having to buy cash and carry.

I doubt very much that its the area managers decision, contact head office you'll soon find out.

Brewers / wholesalers don't do credit anymore, (too many unpaid accounts) cleared funds have to be in the account or no order and no delivery, if its only the once could be an office cock up , happening regularly ...not good.

Its been like it for the last 4 weeks or so, i have 14 pumps and usually by monday i only have beer on 4 of them

Thankfully the landlady at the pub down the road is a diamond and helps me out when she can... Have had to borrow a couple of barrels from her to last me through the week
