Unfortunately until the Catholic Church comes into the 21st century and stops the whole practice of priests being celibate and not gay it will keep happening. It’s never going to stop completely because paedophiles can be found in all walks of life. But it’s disgusting that it’s happened in such large numbers x

This unfortunetly happens with any group that are not treated equal/ have a blind eye turned to them in the eyes of the law. Religion can be the obvious example as well as money (which quite a few of these orgainsations have too).

What's the expression, if you give an inch, they'll take a mile, just in this case they're fucking with childrens lives.

It's not just an issue within one particular church/religion it just so happens that this is what has emerged so far. There are plenty of abusers of all religions and those who have no faith at all.

Abusers deliberately choose employment and/or leisure activities that give them easy access to their victims. The fact that they are part of the church is just incidental - if they didn't choose that line of work they may have become teachers, scout leaders, sports coaches etc.

To be fair to Tatchell, he is consistent in attacking bigots whatever their ethnic origin. See his campaigns against Mugabe and Homophobic Jamaican rappers.

Its not all religions are the same

Protestant and Presbyterians etc religions don't have these issues of abuse like the filthy Catholic church have

Reason being they are allowed marry and live normal lives like the rest of us

Those catholic cunts were fucked from whenever they banned their priests marrying

We should have seized their property to pay the 140 million that they still owe Irish victims of their abuse that they refuse to pay and banned them as an evil cult

First of all, those guilty of these crimes should be made to pay. Preferably with a bullet between the eyes.

But I have to say I disagree strongly with those suggesting these priests abused thousands of children because they are not allowed to marry. They abused because they are fucking monsters. If it was simply a question of wanting/needing sexual contact they would have an affair with with an adult man or woman.

Peter tachell ONLY criticised the Catholic church over paedophilic priests, it was his personal schtick of agrievance.

I don't have a problem with Peter tachell doing that and don't feel the need to tell him stop being a bigot, there's other religions just as bad.

If it was just paedophiles infiltrating "places of power" we'd see the same ratio and the same paedophilic tendancies across the board.

However we don't, we see different ratios and tendancies, different ages and sexs, because different beliefs held by the individuals see different outcomes.

Hence the differences we see between Catholic paedophiles and Muslim paedophiles, to say Catholicism and Islam have no effect on individuals choices and crimes is just silly.
