Best I ever had was egg mayonnaise and tons of crispy, crispy bacon on a fresh, white hand cut bloomer with crispy crusts and soft, doughy flesh - it was to die for!!

Chicken bacon black pudding crisps in white toast.

Or croque monsieur

Or plain cold chicken with dark French mustard.

Or cold sliced fillet steak with a tweak of horseradish in a baguette

Or a really mild smoked salmon on a light plain wholemeal

Or crab in a morning roll.

Hell I just love sandwiches.

Assuming this is what is your second favourite sandwich? (because everyone’s favourite - including vegetarians who deny themselves - is bacon), then I’ve always been easily pleased by the humble cheese (creamy cheddar) and tomato (small and juicy) sandwich. On white squidgy bread, obvs.

Lots of votes for peanut butter & lots for banana, it’s a bit controversial but why not combine the 2 peanut butter & banana.

I enjoy it at home but never had the nerve to order one from a sarnie shop LOL!
