This is something that confused me once I thought about it. What was the point in inserting something in there? Obviously, you can't have anal sex with that in the way, so was it a masochistic thing.

Someone I knew who didn't judge my naivety told me that some women use them to stretch the anus as a precursor to anal sex; the point being to reduce discomfort.

Seems logical.

As above there are different types that give different sensations - generally for me it's the feeling of fullness they give as well as the sensations putting them in and out - add to that, that for us men, they can stimulate the prostate and they get a from me.

I think some of the jewelled ones you see now are more a decoration than a sensation though, the actual plug bit seems to be tiny.

Not really, I would use one as it feels nice. Just like having sex and someone putting for fingers in there. I don’t have anal sex so for me it’s just pleasure.
