Do you better yourself and hold your head high or wallow in sadness?

I try to see what could have possibly motivated them. A lot of the time, if you can work that out, you can understand them and hope that they get past whatever pushed them to do it.

If I conclude that what motivated them was just pure meanspiritedness, then I make sure that they can’t have what they want most. I’m pretty sure that is files under revenge

I don’t believe anything that is motivated by revenge is a good thing. Success can be bitter if it doesn’t bring you pleasure. The best thing to do is process the anger. Move on. Find something worthwhile.

I step away, metaphorically and sometimes physically. I’m not into revenge or retaliation. One way or another people will know that I’ve moved on and that’s all I need to do really.

That’s not to say that I don’t have those thoughts about ‘you could have said’ etc because I have but it’s wasted energy and causes angst.

I can't be bothered with revenge but as I've grown older I find I have no hesitation in cutting certain people out of my life. If those people were ever to be in a position where they needed my help I would give it with a smile while appreciating the discomfort they must surely be feeling.

A woman I used to work with caused me a huge problem at work. I could barely look at her for a while because the fallout was traumatic.

A few years later we found ourselves sitting next to each other at a conference. She looked horribly embarrassed (good) and I enjoyed that for a minute before smiling at her and asking after her family. Watching her squirm as she realised that I was being the bigger person was revenge enough for me.

Depends really sometime doing nothing at all can say a lot more. But if someone has made your life harder or turned people against you or even just made people think that you have done something that you haven't. Then a little revenge is always nice. When someone does you wrong the first thing you think is how can I get them back. We are all in the same boat but wouldn't it be nice if everyone could be them self and not have to be the person that we think people want us to be. What you really should do is what you have joined this site for. Anything and everything you want. As we are all here for the same reason, we like sex flirting getting the excitement back and enjoying being made to cum.

I actually believe that people who deliberately treat others badly are sad, sorry little individuals who have huge issues of their own that they are too weak to deal with so decide to take it out on others.

I don't have sympathy for them, I feel pity because to go through life like that must be pretty horrible, especially as they tend to only associate with others like themselves and must spend life in a horrible bubble, often mistakenly thinking that people really like them when, in fact, very few do.

Never want to get revenge from this kind of individual because they have issues that they alone can resolve, and if they're not willing to try they are not worth any kind of emotion at all from me...

The best revenge is living well and being happy in spite of others. You are responsible for your own actions and happiness not those of others. Move on, learn by the hurts and live your life to its fullest.

You will find those that have wounded you generally don't care either way about you, it is all about them. You have no control over what they think and feel so no point even trying to do something to change it. Pointless waste of energy.

This is indeed a dilemma I am currently facing!

I have tried to turn the other cheek, I'm bored waiting for karma and I genuinely feel I can't heal until I know the other party has got what they deserve.....

And yes I am bitter, I am angry and I am hurt. We talk about these emotions like they are a bad thing, I don't necessarily agree, they are simply emotions in response to something traumatic in your life.

Other than this, I'm sweetness and light
