I wouldn't, if need to seethe profile before sending any message, plus if they're hidden, they don't want messages generally.

Maybe they just liked the pic? If I fab a picture I don't expect the person to message me, it's just appreciation of a nice picture. Plus, if they're hidden, how do you know you want to start a dialogue with them.

I fab people's pictures all the time even if they aren't what I'm looking for. I sometimes just appreciate the picture but it's not an invitation to chat.

The message, wink, hotlist and block options are still available at the top of the hidden profile screen

I had this from a fabbing thread the other day, as they were outside my filters they messaged someone I'd met to contact me for them!

Sometimes people don’t want to be searchable or they just want a breather. Not everyone wants to go completely dark when they hide, I’m still loitering and lurking

It depends how many they fab, if someone fabs all of my pics then I assume that they want my attention or at least like my pictures a lot, sometimes that warrants a ‘hi’. If it’s just one or two then I just leave it at that.

The way we see it is that it's an appreciation of the pictures, nothing more. Some (like us) enjoy knowing that our pictures are being looked at and enjoyed, other people choose not to be able to be Fabbed, each to their own.

Tiz a bit weird getting a thanks for the fab on a fab my pics thread.

I wasn't hoping for anything to follow, I just generally send a Thanks...no real reason but seems polite to me, that is all, it is nice to be appreciated & nice to respond although I can see why it may spook some given the reports of abuse etc I have read. I don't continue to message, just a thanks. I have never posted a 'Fab my pic' thread either, that was not the purpose of my original post, I would never be needy enough to request such things, it was a genuine enquiry to see what the forum thought & if it was the same as I thought. i would not have asked if I was sure.
