It seems all the apps have their pros and cons. On the supposedly 'vanilla' ones I get asked for hookups. Well I don't get asked, I can spot them a mile off, ask them and then they admit it

Or you get guys who think because you have a coffee 'date' 2 weeks away they can tell you off for being on the app

POF is just a complete disaster now. I was on it about 4 years ago and rejoined it recently. Just seems to be full of spammers

I think the guys tend to be of a more professional nature. Better pics and quality of men on there. Guys know that women take the lead so are a bit more serious about meeting than they are on tinder. Not dating all are looking for a relationship. Many say on their profile but some want fun and many want more with the right person, just like most apps.

You have to wait to get some mutual matches. Once they 'like' you too, you can message them, so you need to get swiping first.

Also with Bumble, if you swipe left accidentally and want to view that person back again, you can use 3 backtrack a day. You just shake your phone (I have an iPhone, not sure if that works on others) and then swipe back. It’s free unlike tinder where you have to pay for that x

Bumble is good, I like the whole aspect of women being in charge and making the first move. Girls usually ask the important questions pretty quickly so there’s no messing around on there, be honest and it can work. POF is ok, but seems a lot of fake profiles on there. Still good for casual sex though.

I tried Feeld and found it really annoying as I kept getting messages from people miles away.

Match.com is somewhat of a scam, before you pay up.. you have a million views and winks. Once you subscribe.. nadda. POF is full of chavs and whatnots. Tinder is great for a hook up.

I agree with whoever posted that on Fab, women have their pick, on dating sites.. men do.

That being said, I'd rather someone was just honest about what they wanted. The dream would be to meet someone on here who is as open minded about sex but doesn't just want a hook up.

Bumble probably not so much as women have to initiate contact and most of them are vehemently anti-casual sex! Now that I’m whinging, it is a dating site app after all. POF seems to be a bit more laid back, almost Tinder like. It’s a numbers game, there’s just more women on dating apps compared to on here so it could potentially be easier to find casual sex that way - as long as you’re honest about it. The girls I’ve spoke to are annoyed that blokes just seem to want one thing on dating apps, but dress it up in niceties making them feel used after being lied to.
