This has probably been done before on here but I am always amused by people who put status updates saying "I am done with this site" or "it's pointless me being here so I'm leaving" etc. Ok so you may not have met with much success but do you really think anyone will feel sorry for you by saying that?!

Agree, if you are done, fine, move on, no need to attention seek announce it.
