I know this from bake off, it’s savour one end and sweet the othersivided by a small baton of pastry so the fillings don’t run into each other

It's actually called a Bedfordshire clanger on Google.....don't think the miners has these.....

The sweet one end and savory the other is an old traditional type of Cornish Pasty.

I had a gander on google, seems like more of a suet pudding / pastry bake than a pasty. I’m not a liver fan so I don’t think I’d like it

Jamie & Jimmy did a whole "thing" about the Bedfordshire Clanger I think It was supposed to be one of those products that was dying out and they wanted to try and get Protected Designation of Origin for them, like Melton Mowbray Pork Pies, Cornish Pasties etc

Ooh that sounds quite nice actually!

Maybe a nice melt in the mouth steak and ale filling at one end and apple and blackberry at t’other! I’ve been converted!

See the combinations are Endless

But enough if clangers you need to try a sweet potato falafel with haloomi cheese and gherkins with pomegranates DELSIH

Mmm they are lush, Cornish pasty at one end and apple sauce at the other the sweet end had crimped seal and the Cornish pasty end was rolled. Some places still sell them in Cornwall.

Yes that is true don't want sweet before savory.....the are 2 holes at one end for the Savoy and three slashes at the sweet end
