...when we recite the alphabet,why are we told it is wrong if we do it out of sequence....Does it matter?

Yeah. Same as counting 1 to 100 (eg). You can't just make it up as you go along

.....Why?...if I'm spelling a word I don't need to know where each letter comes in the alphabet!...I only need to know them all!
