Den of Iniquity

Just been watching Nirvana Unplugged and wishing I could of ever watched them live before Kurts death. Is there an old band or artist that you wish you could of seen live before they died/split up ??

Slough Windsor ish

Prince

The evening his death was announced on the radio we were sitting in traffic on the M4 and switched radio stations to hear Purple Rain, up went the volume and I was singing along. I turned to Cheffy and said "if he ever comes to the UK again we are going to go see him!"

The song came to its end and they announced he had been found dead.

I actually cried right there. Don't know why? I was never a huge fan really but it just got to me.

Too many.

#1 might be Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band prior to 1973

I had tickets for them on the "In Utero" tour, but for some reason I couldn't go. Mock GCSEs possibly.

Gutted.

As above. The Doors.

I saw Nirvana in early 90's at The Hummingbird in Brum. Was okay.

Love - my dad was poorly and we couldn’t go see them. The next year they never played up here and the following year Arthur Lee was dead.

On a positive note, did see The Only Ones before Mike Kellie died, always expected Pete Perrett to go first though.

"Amy Winehouse "

First time I heard her was on Jools Holland & up went the volume. Loved her voice. Saw her in one of her last concerts when things weren't so good & it really showed in her fairly poor performance. Wish she'd got over her demons & I could have seen her again.

I'm so glad I got to see Lizzy live before his premature death... I never had the chance to see X Ray Spex though and I would love to have seen Polly in her prime

There and to the left a bit

The Clash and The Jam are the two for me - both still around when I first started going to gigs but for some reason didn't get to see either
