not sure if its dead but its nowhere near as popular as it used to be

i remember a few years back when i was with the ex we used to go dogging and it was always busy and a few places to go

a lot of dogging sites round here are closed down now and the ones still open are nowhere near as busy as they used to be, where as you'd think there would be more people at the open ones due to some being shut

I live reasonably close to one of the country's major dogging locations, and yes it's started to die off and doggers are to blame.

I see doggers regularly blaming the police, the boy racers and everyone else but themselves on these forums....but ultimately it is the doggers themselves that have killed off their own favourite pastime.

Take this well known Devon dogging spot for instance, it is in a large area of Forestry Commision owned land, it has been set up for mountain bikers, horse riders and family picnicers.

The doggers used the area for years, but it wasn't enough for them to use it in the hours of darkness, they got greedy....the venue was so over exposed on the internet it started to attract chancers during the day. You would get Company Reps and van drivers turning up at all hours, even to the point where large trucks would attempt to drive around the small carparks.

Families would be having a summer picnic or women would be walking their dogs, and idiots would be hiding in bushes with their trousers around their ankles openly wanking.

Do doggers expect the land owners to ignore this?, are doggers then surprised to see the police involved?

Just like Video killed the Radio star....Doggers killed dogging.

"Just like Video killed the Radio star....Doggers killed dogging."

To be fair I think the internet helped. Why stand in a draughty carpark watching couples shag when you can do it in the comfort of your own home?

i agree

ive seen it a few times where people have posted on forums, and not just on this site, where they are going dogging, if your going to post locations then chancers will turn up, and it will but the genuine people off

next thing you know you've got a young lad bringing all his mates for a laugh, ive seen it, cars full of boy racers driving past doing wheel spins taking the piss and they only know where to go because people tell them on here

Real doggers don't advertise locations and when they will be out.

Its the newbies and the ones that don't care if it gets destroyed that has ruined it.

Yes they do I.M.O, real doggers are the ones that respect the spots they go to, respect other doggers be it cpls or singles, real doggers use there brains when it comes to preserving the spots they use by been discreet about the locations and not using spots in the day times.

So no real doggers have not spoilt dogging, disrespectful chancers with little or no respect for other people be that other doggers or the general public are the ones that have killed it.

Well said.

We have been dogging for years (before it got labeled as dogging) we have always left the places we went to, to play clean of any litter or anything we took with us and tried to keep the places as clean and descrete as we could as they were places we could go to for a safe haven to play.

Alas it seems like those days are gone as everything changes.

As a single man its never easy to find out where engin spots are. Around Derby there were lots of places to go but now there is only 1 I go to and even that is starting to die a slow death.

For me it is the single men who have no idea what to do when they go dogging who kill these places off. How many places do you know where its full of men lookin at each other and IF there is some action have no respect to who is there or are oppertunist married men......

To those who still go dogging.....see you out and about

So now we have a hierarchy of doggers?, to be known in future as 'Real doggers'?

What a load of nonsense, you are attempting to make dogging sound like it's an exclusive club, only for people who know some secret list of rules.

Like the Masons, except there is no secret handshake, only a secret code of how to flash your internal lights on your car?

ALL doggers are chancers, you take the chance everytime you turn up at a carpark whether or not you will get lucky....makes every dogger a chancer.

You are more often than not operating on public land, but you are laying down secret doggers rules as if you own the land and you are operating a members club....and you are not.

Nothing wrong with dogging....all power to you, but please don't try to flower it up.....it's just random people turning up at a public place hoping to get lucky.

I don't recall ever saying there was a secret list of rules?

I don't recall saying that ALL doggers are not chancers.

I don't recall saying there was a secret code of flashing lights.

What i did say though was that the people who have killed dogging are DISRESPECTFUL chancers who have no respect for the location or the people be that other doggers or the general public that use the location.

Common sense does not translate to secret rules
