Still very much adjusting to my cat free home, I’m convinced I keep seeing him out of the corner of my eye and then I remember

God help the next friendly cat we come across, we may just take up camp and stay and pet them all day!

As you know Mistress, a beautiful cat has 'adopted' us. She is still housebound until Friday, when she has her stitches out. She is being thoroughly spoilt and loved everyday, as she's had such an awful time, bless her...she wakes me at 6 in the morning, for her breakfast and them comes to bed for cuddles

Thank you, I have read that. This cat turned up in our garden and had 3 kittens, whilst we were on holiday. She is only about a year old herself. We looked after them all in the garden, with the support of the CPL, for about 10 days, we used to see the kittens do this, although she wasn't feeding them anymore. We decided to keep her and the kittens have been rehomed

Aah, thank you, she attached herself to us and let us look after her kittens with her, we couldn't resist her. She was spayed last week and has stitches out on Friday, so she can then go out. It appears she was dumped pregnant, in our village, no one came forward for her and she wasn't chipped, she chose our garden as we have lots of coverage for her to hide her kittens.

My two did the same, along with scrabbling at my bedroom door to get in.

Seeing as every day is International Cat Day in our household, our most important members of the family will be spoiled rotten with snuggles and piggyback rides until I put them to bed. I actually have to sing them to sleep or they keep us up.

Please don't give your cats cow milk or cream - most adult cats are lactose intolerant and giving them dairy products can cause diarrhoea and extremely painful intestinal cramps, which in the worst case scenario can lead to the cat needing to be put down. There are plenty of "safe" treats available, as well as specific cat milk which is not dairy based.

"Mine woke me up at 4am shouting and running about, so for International Cat Day I will give her the gift of not putting her in the bin.

My two did the same, along with scrabbling at my bedroom door to get in.

Seeing as every day is International Cat Day in our household, our most important members of the family will be spoiled rotten with snuggles and piggyback rides until I put them to bed. I actually have to sing them to sleep or they keep us up.

A very off-key random song that I wail quite unmusically along the lines of ‘Sleeeeeepy-tiiiiime, tiiiiime for beeeeed....snuuuuugle dooooown and goooooo to sleeeeep...’ et cetera, et cetera. Utter nonsense finishing with a ‘niiiiight niiiiight...mummy loves you...niiight niiiight’...but they do come into the living room and curl up for sleepy night time snuggles before bed when I do it.

Super-weird fricking cats. (Super-weird fricking me, for that matter )

Just bought mine a five foot high climbing frame with a hammock and all sorts on it. She’s only twelve weeks old though. She absolutely loves it lol

Oh we are! This is all new to us, she is a little nervous, but she still shows us lots of love, we were told that she had chosen us and our garden to have her kittens in, we adore her. Been doing a lot of googling so we know how to look after her and keep her happy and confident with us.

We had to have an asbestos survey today, and they turned up with huge ladders, my poor little man got such a scare (he is a house cat) and ran into the next door property, as it was left open, took me over 15 minutes to find him (we live in a block of 6) and two of the properties are empty and the workers had left the front doors open.

It wasn't an enjoyable 15 minutes for any of us, but the look of relief on his little face when I found where he was hiding and came out to me straight away was a picture never mind the 'slow my beating heart' All nice and relaxed now

my partner has a cat who chose him. He lives in the countryside and she randomly turned up on his door step. There are lots of catlovers sites you could join to get hints and tips

It really was! I knew he wouldn't have gone all the way downstairs as he is a little scardy cat, but your mind isn't rational when in panic mode but the relief was unbelievable

Unfortunately I have a Lurcher who hates them and I have a hard enough time stopping him butchering the neighbours. I wish I had got him earlier so as to have intergrated him with cats shame.

I rescued him so his unfortunate behaviour towards other animals had already been installed. He’s fine around dogs and people but anything else that moves he’s off like a rocket.

Awww I didn't even know, but I bought them a treat anyway, a little mouse ya put dreamies in it n they have to boot it about so they fall out. Boo loved it but the dog (sshh don't tell him he's a cat!) he wasn't too impressed... Think he prefers being told to sit n shake hands for his treats

Good for you, he deserves a good home, all animals do. My cat is adopted by us, after being dumped whilst pregnant, she is thoroughly spoilt here
