That's why I've always slept with the lampshade on.

I don't mind sleeping in the dark as long as someone is with me.

I’ll add scary movies to my previous list. I generally try not to watch anything I wouldn’t be comfortable watching in real life.

I used to do that when I was a kid.

The main two pieces of music that sometimes pop into my head when I'm going downstairs at night to get a snack is The Twilight Zone theme and Maleficent's music from Disney's Sleeping Beauty.

Nowadays I'm scared of being very elderly and ill or incapacitated when not so long ago my life couldn't have been prolonged. I've seen it close to and its not nice.

I am also terrified of being inside the mri scanner but just about hold it together.

I almost had a panic attack at my last MRI as I was fully inside the machine and no music to drown out the noise. Had to have my eyes covered.

I shut my eyes the entire time and concentrate really hard. The first time I had one the guy counted me down as it slid me in and it struck true terror in me. I don't know why. Every time since I tell them not to count and they look at me a bit strangely. I wonder if the first guy is the only one who does it

Indeed it is. What is scary about that is that the first part sounds like it's calling out someone's name which it is.

"Aurora. Auroooora".

The villain makes a scary appearance in the movie where she just stands there in the dark fireplace just staring at the princess and the only thing you see are here eyes

And this is from a Disney movie from 1959. I even heard that when that scene came up when it first came out, kids were taken out of the theatres crying in shere fright.

Scary isn't it. I haven't had one recently but a few years back I was one of the first people in the UK to have a particular type of surgery on my spine. This required mri scans before and to my horror afterwards as well for research etc. I could have refused but I felt grateful for the surgery and wanted to help their research. They've left me alone for a while though
