On the wider subject of Verifications themselves I think most people misunderstand what they are actually for - to verify the people are as described in their profile. Nothing more and certainly not for a blow by blow (excuse the pun) account of all that went on.

Call me old fashioned but I remember when discretion was a major bonus to Swinging. Describing who did what to whom and how often isn't (IMHO) 'discrete' at all.

At the end of the day, you will never ever truly know a person's sexual history. They could have had 500 meets away from Fab and only show a few verifications from here. They could have met all sorts of people and had bareback sex, bareback gangbangs etc. You'll never really know the truth from reading a few verifications.

I think they help a little bit in desicion making but what you read, is never going to be completely true about a person. Most people on here have a few skeletons me thinks.

Then enlighten us all again when you get your 2nd one and we could all compare them, to see if we think they have been written by the same person.

Incidentally, yes we do have a look at peoples verifications.

Quite a few Straight guys have been sexually verified by other Guys.

lots of safe Sex Couples get verified by those that only do bareback.

Quite a few have had social meets only and have never played.

lots are webcam verified only.

Why go into something totally in the dark, when you can get a feel for someone to see how genuine they are..Not judging anyone, but why be led up the Garden path when there is no need.

No verifications, especially if you’ve been on site more than 6months is a no-go for me.

But if I saw, loads of them I would find that off-putting, is it necessary? I don’t really care how many a person has slept with but it’s a bit ‘look at me’, I’ve got prowess. Bit boastful maybe?!

Much prefer just pick a few that give an indication of who you are and what kind of sexual interests you have

I do read them, if someone says words like ‘gentleman’, ‘reliable’, ‘repeat performance’, ‘ate my pussy for a long time’

and other things I’m looking for

All risks aren't 100% but avoiding sores, etc is a pretty damn good way of avoiding herpes.

I like veries, I find them really informative and I do quite a bit of reading and tracing when looking at potential meets.

I also like receiving them. For me they are a little thank you note that closes that episode and sets you up to move on..I get remarkably ruffled when I have a good meet and the other party doesn’t verify.

I’ve become a lot more blasé about numbers. One of my longest standing fab contacts and one of my best meets both have veris running into the hundreds. They are both scrupulous about safe sex, testing and hygiene.

Will watch my messages tumble with that little revelation...

I don't know how common sense would protect against herpes infection. Reduce the likelihood yes.

I think that we all look at profiles and veris in different ways. For me, if a couple has loads of veris, it means they are real and do actually meet. There is no need for any of those veris though to go into graphic detail about a meet, that does tend to put me off a bit. I like to read about what the "meet" thought of the couple and i will read the "meets" veri of what the couple thought of them.

This tells me more than anything else if i would actually want to meet them. I must admit though, recently it has told me next to nothing about a lot of couples, because peeps just don't seem to leave much more than "great shag treat with respect"......................what sort of veri is that ? Tells no one nothing and not worth a toss.

Whilst generally I agree no one needs a blow by blow description of the meet, I do like sometimes to have a filthier one, otherwise it can all sound a bit like we’ve been at an endless string of lingerie themed dinner parties or job interviews. It can be good to have one that’s a bit more specific about your sex skills.

What I do find off putting is when the same person just keeps verifying someone time and time again, makes me feel like I might be intruding on something.

Yep, fully agree. There is one couple on here i have met frequently over many many years and have never felt the want or need to post more than 1 veri each time i've been on the site. They feel the same way as well. I was "Perving" a profile last night and the couple had 10 Veris, 6 of them from the same guy......................how creepy is that

Agree as well. I've been swinging since the 1980's, my wife died in 2010. Never had a sign of any STD in all that time. Being careful has always been the way to go forward, no matter how many partners you have had.
