What is your favourite indulgence food, something totally lavish and special that you don't have very often or haven't had but fantasise about eating.

In fact, make it a 3 course meal, with drinks!

Oysters - preferably scottish - and if I can get them, native rather than pacific, tho it's bloody hard to find native oysters these days.

washed down with a few bottles of Tokyo Intergalatic Fantasic Stout (also from Scotland and also bloody hard to get hold of)

Fresh sea bass, I caught myself, down at Appledore, Devon.

I find most champagne to be a little over-rated so I prefer to have them with either a REALLY good stout, or a top notch white burgundy or a Pouilly Fume

I'm a cheap date. Sparkling Jacobs Creek is actually better than most champagnes.

I bet you wear leather shoes though- is that kind to the animal

I am a carnivore- and there are ways to make killing lobster less traumatic.

Firstly you cool them down in the fridge until they are really lethargic, then you insert the really sharp blade in behind the neck and kill them with one stroke.

Then you boil them.

No worse than an abbatoir.

It tastes divine!

I recently had a really good seafood meal and helped to pick out the various live seafood to cook.

One minute they were alive and swimming, then killed/sliced/cooked and on the table the next.

I did feel a tad bad about it, however, it's food.

the majority of foie gras now is cruelty free * as much as it can be * and picking what you eat is awesome.. satisfies the hunter in us all!

I once had the best sashimi banquet for one in a little Japanese restaurant in Bristol. Sadly it's closed now but it was like my perfect meal. I'm a huge fan of raw fish.

I saw a video of Geese being reared for foie gras.

They were fighting each-other over which of them would be the one to be "cruelly force fed" next.

I'm really not convinced it's as cruel as some people would have us beleive.

There's a lot of misunderstandings about 'cruel' food. I once saw a bullfight. I didn't like it in many way - but the bull couldn't stop wagging its tail!
