Its a nest outside my friend's bedroom window & the local council can't treat it for 6 weeks

Anyone used Rentokil?

We used independent pest control people once, the next time we bought a can of wasp killer and did ourselves the third time it was in the central heating flue of a house we'd just moved in to, so we just put the heating on.

Is it causing your friend a problem.. if not I'd suggest saving the £'s and leaving it alone, it'll die off in a couple of months

Wilko do a foam you can squirt it from about 8 feet away too. Hubby has used it a few times when working in houses works great

The Town by The Cross

Wasps abandon their nests and die around about November.

Save yourself some money and leave them alone.

They don't use the same nest next year.

ALSO ALSO ALSO ...... have them properly identified. They could be bees.

I used one from B&Q, you have to do it during the (early) evening when all the wasps are in. It worked.

I then had a ladybird infestation the following year and those little blighters stink!! Nature hates me!!

Get to Poundland for some ant powder. Doesnt need much around the entrance as they walk it in. Do it at night when theyre not as active. Dont normally go against nature but wasps are a pain.

Starved of funds by our wonderful government, subject to cuts & no recruitment etc etc etc.

The best way to dispose of wasps as mentioned...winter.

As above, ant powder. Have a mate who works in pest control and if you pay rentokill to come out that's pretty much all they cover the nest in.

I'd agree with below getting near them is hazardous tho.

There are quiet times in the nest but you have to be quick so will probably take several attempts.
