I tend to still be a little flattered even if I'm not interested so I'll at least try to let them down gently.

I only used to feel "leave me alone mate" if they were persistent and creepy when I politely rebuffed them.

I'm not sure I ever felt flattered.

I will respond to polite and charming but not if he's trying to pull me, then he gets the Ice Queen if I don't fancy him, that's how I survived when I was a hot young thing.

St Helens

I find personality and intelligence more attractive then what they look like. I have actually slept with men I didn't find instantly attractive at first. It's the intelligence and the humour that turns me on more.

If a guy approached me and I did not fancy them I always let them speak. It they can make me laugh and there is a shared connection; then that is a winner for me.

I agree attitude is important and if a man ever approached me rudely, I would be rude back. I would always be polite if I didn't find him attractive, but also disheartened that that was the best I could get.

The line between flirting and sexual harrasment is how the guy looks like and to what extent the person is attracted to that person.

"....trys to pull you in real life, are you still flattered and do you admire his balls for having ago anyway, or do you think just leave me alone mate ?! "

Depends how attractive I find him as to how flattered I am.

The ugliest thing is usually personality based. If it's an arrogant, entitled kind of approach then I will be reactive, but still polite- it's possible.

If it's polite but I don't find them physically my type then it's a polite refusal.

Nearly every time I step out I'm chatted up. Think my other half thought I was exaggerating until I had a medical emergency and he drove me to the hospital at 10pm.

He parked the car while I made my way to A&E. The time it took me to cross the car park I was chatted up. I said to the man really, in front of my partner? He said sorry, thought he was a cab!

The men that chat me up are nearly all the same: dodgy looking Africans. I'm never rude just not welcoming and standoffish.
