 ) to an apartment complex.so I have bought him (as we can't currently open windows) a gel cooling mat, a new bed that looks like a minnie kennel, a new carry case and blanket (plus sofa covers for the new apartment)
Well the gel cooling thing arrived yesterday and he initially turned his bloody nose up at it, but if it was something I had bought clothing wise for myself, he would be all over it)
he is lying on it now, however the new bed....he has taken too from the off, does anyone know why their cat has ridiculous and weird habits?
If anyone can think of something I have missed, then please do let me know | |||

Used to just laze in random locations, including the log basket sometimes. Getting in & out the cat carrier was usually a multi-person job as try as you might, all of the limbs refused to get in at one time. | |||

We just let her do as she pleases" As she has lived under a hedge for weeks, with her kittens, she wants to get in enclosed spaces, so she goes under the spare bed, behind the washing machine or in the pantry up the corner! | |||

 ) but my parents cat is just bizarre.
She has taken over one of my mum's blankets as her own (ignored the beds they got her) which has to be clear of everything. It is next to Dad in the evenings. She won't get up on her own, but has to be invited up. Then she nibbles his fingers if he's not stroking her in the right place.
She loves being stroked through the banisters - either when you are on the ground floor and she is on the stairs or you are on the stairs and she's on the landing.
We've also had a number of cats that like their tail being pulled - as in it's like they use it to stretch their spine or something. I've not known any other cat that likes it, but all three of our previous cats (plus their current one) have loved it. | |||

I got up this morning to find him cowering behind a sofa, which I understand, but he hadn't eat, drank or pee'd until this afternoon, even though I laid out his favourite tin of tuna.
I knew he would be unsettled and tried my best to make things as easy as possible but failed miserably.
He is only just looking around the apartment trying to take things in and finding his bearings, but who would have thought it would have taken over 36 hours, even though he is walking around looking like a little old man who has sh*t himself despite me trying to assure him it was just me and him here.
He is a funny little thing I will admit and I do look at him and laugh as he starts to relax little by little but now I am already bloody dreading trying to get him back home, and used to the new smells that will be there in our absence, as the whole place will be redecorated, any help or tips will be appreciated so we don't have to go through this whole saga again!
Plus I am dreading him turning into the little shit again trying to force him back into is carry case, I may need to look for some body armour in the interim

"Well, that's us moved into the temp accommodation yesterday, the little shit who is normally so passive tried to beat me up yesterday whilst trying to get him into his carrier box that it took over 15 mins. He was only in it for about 15 minutes but refused to come out of it for at least 7 hours!
I got up this morning to find him cowering behind a sofa, which I understand, but he hadn't eat, drank or pee'd until this afternoon, even though I laid out his favourite tin of tuna.

Place a magazine, piece of A4 or a large envelope on the floor though and within 2 seconds, he appears from nowhere and curls up on it. As for attempting to wrap presents with him around, you may as well forget it. " My cat is the same. Not sure how i havent wrapped him up yet. And dont get me started on the amount of paper i go through because he thinks its play time

I'm always tempted to give her more, but I know that would be wrong. She weighed 5 pounds when we had her 4weeks ago, she is now 7 pounds. | |||

"I have a Bengal called Pablo he’s my baby, but he’s not very affectionate, he pleases himself, he’s very clever and from a young age he figured out how to get outside from an open window (upstairs) I’ve just got a new kitten and Pablos not amused atall, where as the new kitten (Escobar) thinks pablos a great play mate , it’s funny to watch as Escobar will push and push until Pablo has enough and shows him who’s boss .

I got up the other day and Escobar (kitten) will usually be at the end of my bed but he wasn’t, checked usual places and couldn’t find him, then I could hear a muted miaow, searching everywhere I located her to the cupboard in the kitchen!! My son had came in and got crisps out the cupboard and kittens being kittens she dived in for a nose, he said he couldn’t get her out and left her there and would try get her out in ten mins but forgot

All my cats are around 12 years old and ive rescued them so they are happy to just laze around the house all day | |||

"Well Mac now seems to be a bit more settled as spread out on the wooden floors (I have carpets) he's finished his new tuna and seems content. But during the time before moving he did get locked out for 30 minutes as he snuck out the front door and neither I nor my dad noticed until he said, where's Mac as he is Grandads boy lol and lo and behold opened the door and in he strolled quite calmly which came as a shock to me, as I thought he would have been completely panicked "that all seems good then | |||

I am currently in temp accommodation whilst my property is being repaired and only been here since Wednesday (have a fair few weeks to go) The little bugger only woke me up early this morning because he started climbing up a SMALL old fashioned fireplace and chimney. Why the fuck he decided to do that is beyond my comprehension and is totally against character! He is now looking more ragamuffin than ragdoll. "Mine are arseholes. They "allow" me to live with them just as long as i dont want any personal space. There all demanding, needy attention seekers. Think the only thing i have to do in my life is pet cats. I dont remember the last time i sat down without at least 2 cats on me. He's so clever "I had 2 cats that followed me everywhere.. i rescued them and they were really shy. But with loads of spoiling i realised they became my shadow. After much searching and panic I found the little shit well and truly lodged up the chimney I thought I had already blocked off!
He is now banned from the bedroom until I am confidently 100% sure that he can no longer get access!
I will say he no longer looks like the lovable Ragdoll that he normally is as he is covered in soot and sulking behind the sofa | |||

The 2 I have left, well lets put it this way, I am currently typing this with puncture wounds in my hand. The little shit came and sat beside me, something he never does, so I mistakenly thought he wanted stroking. He uses the house like a café, comes in, eats then fecks off again.
The other one is the laziest cat I have ever known, barely moves all day, goes out when it gets dark and comes home 2 days later.
May have to talk hubby into getting another moggy, one that likes attention. | |||
