One for the longer standing members (no pun intended!)....

I’ve recently noticed some members who have been on fab for quite a while saying it’s getting boring or there’s too many time wasters now.

In your opinion is fab better or worse than it was, and if so, why?

It seemed more light hearted when I first started participating in the forum. More flirting and less bitching. Of course, I may have just not noticed the negative stuff as much a couple of years ago.

Been on and off for around 9 years. Was less fakes back then, less people bottling it last minute. More parties. And a lot more people were looking for friends that played rather than quick one offs

When i joined it was a swingers site. Now people are joining for all kinds of reasons. Much less fun in the forums. As for timewasters and no shows i never encounted them then or now

This only 6 years ago.

The forum's were more fun too. Few of the ones I missed have long since gone or changed their names and don't bother with the forum's as much as they did. Some new ones have come and made them just as entertaining. Some have made it worse

Much worse for swingers! Too many people who see swinging in a negative "don't call me a swinger" light. Too many people looking for relationships. Too many guys thinking its tinder, too many women who have more fun trying to boost their self esteem by turning down quality guys rather than actually meeting them, too many couples who are only here because the male half had a ffm fantasy. Too many guys who think they're bulls, too many guys who think if a couple want an mfm then their relationship must be on the brink. Theres other stuff. But....

Prior to joining fab I had been on another well known site (S-H), but that was at least 10 years ago. Out of curiosity, I had a look at it recently and it certainly doesn’t look as busy as it was then, and there are members still showing that I know haven’t been active for a number of years. Has meeting swingers online had it’s heyday? Has the tabloid attention that sites like fab have received been detrimental to the sincerity of those using the site?

I think it's better now. Some fantastic long-standing people still here,plus some interesting newer ones. My inbox dross seems at a lower level but maybe because I scare them better.

I would say it's harder to find genuine swinger- types among the 'single' men than it used to be. But not impossible.

The forums is more or less the same as it was a couple of years ago, but not as fun as in the days of Wishy, Femme, Polo, and DD and DJ are sorely missed x
