Taking a break from Madeleine,

What do other people think of Chia seeds? They're little black crunchy things that look like the poppy seeds on a baguette (where have those gone BTW?)

I have a pack here from Aldi and have been eating them with yogurt.

It says they are high in omega 3 and polyunsaturated fats, all good stuff. Apparently the name means "strength" so they sound very good to have.

They just kind of appeared everywhere all of a sudden a while back. Never seen them before but now in every major shop. Is it a fad?

I found out the hard way they need plenty of water though.

They feel weird in the mouth at first but I like them.
