To be honest i haven't met him other than a brief horse carriage ride. His reputation stinks though. Elisif the Fair is rather nice though and her name suggests she'd be a good Queen.

I'm not massively a royalist, I prefer a bit more chaos. But that is only when it comes to Skyrim of course

I really hate the Thalmor, they really pissed me off during a trip to Solitude and I rage-murdered a small group of them after they dissed me. So my main criteria is who is most likely to take them down. I feel like that's the Empire but it's between 26 years since the White-Gold concordat and not much progress has been made on that front. But i also heard that the Stormcloaks are funded by the Thalmor too

That's my gut reaction but surely the Lannisters, sorry the imperials, signed the White-Gold concordat to rebuild the army and eventually overthrow the Thalmor. But it's been 26 years and nothing has changed. It's like a Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact without a renegade.

The best rulers always avoid war but must always be prepared for it, the imperials might just be trying to avoid an all out war with the thalmor and maybe find another way to keep an eye on them

His quick decisions were bad though and 26 years in the timescale of the elderscrolls isn't too much, throwing skyrim to chaos and the chance to be overrun by thalmor would put the empire at a bad disadvantage and woukd give the thalmor a chance to fight back against the empire. Sometimes waiting is the best option.

Well basically the Lannisters signed the Treaty of Versailles with the Nazis and John Snow died at the battle of the bastards so now Ramsay Bolton is your only alternative to a Lannister-Nazi government.

You're missing out. The map and physics of the game are very special. The combat system is slick too. Nice graphics but lame story and requires zero strategy.

the combat system is what drew me in...physics aside..I prefer a plot, a general linear playtime. I've never really been a huge sandbox fan of many open world games.

Yeah but once you see that map, you'll appreciate why exploring it is so fun. Honestly, the best bit of the game is at the start just wondering around trying to find towers that reveal the whole world map. The combat system in zelda means it's possible to complete the game without being hit, which is impossible in skyrim. I'm not totally sure which i prefer on that front.

The game is a constant reminder of what a prick i am. Lydia is by far the better fighter and yet I have serena tag along because she shows cleavage. I don't even give her dragon priest mask that makes all her magic better because it covers that beautiful face.

Played on a 360 that I bought of a colleague and found Skyrim in CEX. Outstanding! Amazing how many friends want to see how I've developed the character.

Empire for me. Tough, but went with the establishment.

Maxxed out two handed hammer and archery. Maxxed smithing and enchantment in order to craft weapons and skill boosting jewellery.

Maxxed single hand sword skills too, in order to make use of special daerdric artifacts.

Married the Solitude housecarl. I can't get her to wear the sexy barmaids' dress, though...

I don't do hand to hand combat if i can avoid it, too risky. The controls aren't like zelda botw where you won't be hit if you get your technicque right, in skyrim you just have to eat the damage. Archery and magic for me, motherfuckers are dead before they realised I was in the room.

I've been playing Skyrim for a long time now and only just joined the Stormcloaks... didn't want to make the choice but I'm gonna do it this way then possibly create another character and join the imperial with a totally different build... it's too early to tell what the differences are but I guess there are quite a few major pros and cons...

"Stormcloak all the way but really just using them all really to be head of the thieves / assassin guilds.

Loved that game

Did you go the whole nine yards and serve molag bal too?

Molag bal, Namira. Only one I couldn't bring myself to do was the one where you lead a friend to be killed."

You also need to eat him

"Played on a 360 that I bought of a colleague and found Skyrim in CEX.

Fire, ice or lightning?

Did you find Meeko too? He can clear out a spider nest like a champ. Handy when the buggers scare the living daylights out of me..."

Conjuring for me. It's all about the atronach's baby.

Not found Meeko, no.

What exactly did you expect when you click a thread called "elder scrolls: skyrim"? The clue is in the title

Obviously not someone with a sense of humour!

So you like to run into a room, cast three spells and then take a kit Kat and have a rest while everyone else kills each other.

To be honest, one is enough. I'm an archer and the only time my followers have ever died is when they jump into the trajectory of my arrows. Same with my horse. At least flame atronachs stand back out the way.

Hi Chris,

I was actually referring to the selection of top class pictures of the delightful female form on your profile.

If Ada plays as a Nord, that makes them resistant to frost attacks...well does that mean her nipples don't get erect in cold weather...?

Archery in Skyrim VR is a lot of fun as you have to grip the bow with one hand, then nock and draw the arrow with the other, it takes time to get good at it!

Combat with melee weapons is good too, shield on one arm and sword in the other, deflecting blows and countering with a good thrust of the blade. I've whacked walls accidently though when getting a bit too immersed

there is a part in the game were you can get the guys in high hothgar, the imperials and the stormcloaks to all sit down and sign a treaty i have only done this once and there was actual peace in Skyrim after so it can be done but involves talking and you need like expert speech an such to achieve it

Imperial's, my characters are never human and the Nords tend to be quite racist.

If the empire which included Skyrim couldn't beat the Aldmeri dominion what hope does Ulfric and his band of merry men stand against them?
