I wear trainers normally. But when shoes are called for, they must be black and freshly polished.

Can't and will not buy Brown Shoes anyone else suffer from this...

Brown Shoes are not casual wear.

I had a pair of brown shoes I lived in until they broke, small heels they were so comfy and were great with jeans.

My knee high heeled leather Uggs are brown and they get used a lot too

Im about as casual as they come.

Can't stand black shoes myself -especially the ones that are so overpolished that the leather starts looking like cheap 70's vinyl.

Love a brown Grenson brogue boot on a guy, especially with skinny jeans and a big beard. So sexy. Expensive but looks very stylish and smart. I also love the Red Wing boots in brown.

I must admit a pair of chinos, nice shirt and brown brogues goes down well in most social circles.

I can’t wear a suit with brown shoes though.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Trainers are not casual wear, they are sportswear.

Black shoes are not casual either.

And sometimes, it's too cold for flip flops.

So brown shoes are entirely valid.

Chippenham Malmesbury area

I wear Black shoes or boots with blues, grey's, blacks and brown shoes/boots for any other colour... pink, green, yellow, red, Brown... Also, I wear a black belt with black foot wear and a brown one with Brown foot wear; I like to coordinate, this includes socks and boxers.

I love my brown shoes, they are Jerrery West - one pair has skull and cross bones Death or Glory, pot-marked into the toe cap.

I wear highly polished brown chimmy choo brogues for work i love them, with smart jeans & crisp shirt.

I ask my employees to be casual/smart at work most wear brown shoes tbh.

They go well with a dark blue suit too.

"Brown Shoes are not casual wear."

Depends on your choice of casual wear. I find they work fine with corduroy, t etc., and I’ve always been a fan of Chelsea boots and jeans.

I have black shoes and boots for smart and casual but I wouldn't be without my brown pairs. My suede brogues go well with smart and casual, my commando soled walking shoes are great for where hiking boots aren't needed and my suede boots are just hyper comfortable.

It depends what pants you’re wearing. If you’re wearing jeans then it has to be brown shoes, black shoes just don’t go. If your pants are grey or black then the shoes should be black also.
