I always think it looks rather odd .. guys often have hairy legs ..chest stomachs etc then you have completely bare area in the middle ..

Would I depends on the lady in question for a one off likely no.. for someone I was seeing very regularly possibly.

I've had this done and yes, it did indeed look ridiculous. I've quite hairy legs so it looked like I was wearing furry hold ups. I ended up trimming my leg hair, grading it as I went up to a No1 at the tops....looked ok then.
