It was dreadful! I kept watching thinking it would improve, needless to say it didn’t. The only redeeming feature was I got to admire Idris Elba.

Watched Blue is the Warmest Colour the other night. Got to the first lesbian sex scene, bashed one out, and then realised it went on for another 90mins.

Another hour and a half of self discovery seemed awfully self indulgent on the part of the director, so I gave up.

Have I missed out on anything? (ie was there anymore girl on girl I need to catch up on?!)

Remember going to see that at the indie cinema with my mate. We too were chuckling through it at first but then yeah, fucking hell does it go on...he likes his gratuitous lesbian sex that director.

Its based on graphic novels so there's potential for a sequel if anyone wants to make one

On the DVD extras, there’s what I believe to be a superior and more tantalising alternative ending scene....

It’s basically a voice over by Jeff Bridges wherein he talks how Prot had promised to return and that he would have to wait to see if the said ‘alien’ would keep to his word (presumably implying that Prot would reinhabit Spacey and bring him out of the catatonic state we last see him in).

A brilliant and thought provoking film
