Good morning Fabbers.

I have a question that is designed to settle my curiosity with regards to the female mind (dangerous I know).

I've sent a few messages over the past few month to several women (no copy and paste but showing an actual interest in their profile) and I've noticed that the majority of my messages get read, stay undeleted but I never receive a reply.

I'm not saying that women must always reply like I have a right for a reply, I'm just curious as to what it means as some of these messages are over 3 weeks old and I don't want to message again as I'm not pushy.

It's frustrating as deletion or a no thanks would at least show intent. Any women or men get an opinion on my dilemma?

Have a fantastic weekend and stay safe

Z

It probably means they get lots of mails and your message dropped off the first page so they can't see it anymore. It also means they don't delete their inbox, they only read the messages they want to.

They may have looked at your profile and decided you're not what they're looking for.

Either way it's a 'no thank you'.

Ah that makes sense. I guess I just didn't want to admit it was a no thanks.

Message again. If they don't reply after a week, block them, as it's unlikely they ever will.

You're not commuting a crime by messaging again, and if they can't be bothered to reply or delete/block, it's tough on them.

Some women might like getting the mail, but don't like dealing with it.

I would just always assume a no reply is no interest. Whether they delete or not is just a reflection of how they manage their inbox.

It's not always that cut and dry....... You know the saying ' if at first you don't succeed'

There is a slight chance they miss a message, or read it but don't have time to get into a conversation and think "I'll come back to that", and forget (guilty as charged).

I can only speak for myself but I wouldn't do that. I would give some sort it steer. I don't fancy messaging men to see if you're right

Women get inundated with messages on here

I currently have 140 to go through some probably haven’t read my profile so they’ll be a straight delete, some are conversations I’m having & some will be new ones

Ok, this is what women do OP. They see your message, but they look on your profile first and if you’re not for them they won’t look at the message or if they do, they will just press the unread button again. Not sure why they just leave it in there inbox for weeks, I suspect they’re collecting messages for an ego boost or they just will mass delete once it gets to high.

But trust me they will have looked at your profile though.

leeds

Sometimes the messages build up and push ones down out of sight,or I could be chatting to a couple of people and not really want to juggle too many chats so put off replying to give it my full attention, when I'm freer ( that word looks wrong )

Sometimes it seems a bit mean to delete immediately..like dismissive..so I'll delete later.

Or I'll open one , get distracted because the dishwasher beeps or something ( shrug emoji)

I will read messages that have read my profile and looking at their profile i will then open the message.

If its basic messages like “hi” or “x” then delete.

But sometimes i do miss messages.

In my case it would mean I haven't got round to deleting it yet. If I was going to reply I would do so straight away.

For me, I’ll reply instantly if I’m interested. If I read it and can’t be bothered replying at that moment (Maybe if I’m out or something) I’ll mark it as unread. I don’t usually get a lot of messages, so that’s fine. If I open it and don’t reply, I’m not interested. I hardly ever delete my messages, but some men seem to think a no reply is ‘open ended’.

I have a similar amount and rather than read them I’m on the forums.

OP they may not be interested or your message may have dropped off and they can’t see it as someone already said. You could send another message if you want, or you could message someone else who may reply... up to you!

I'd take it as a no thanks

If I want to reply I do fairly quickly ,but then i delete regularly too.

Why check sent messages to see if they’ve been opened? You are just opening yourself up to doubts and second guessing.

If they don’t reply they aren’t interested. If they are opening messages then they are checking out your profile and pics too, if your message is intriguing. If none of them pique their interest then they won’t reply.

Do you reply to unsolicited mail sent from pizza hut or dominoes? No....its the same principal

I pretty much do this. I try to respond but sometimes I’m busy and mean to come back and then just forget. I then have a clear out later when I’ve got time.

Different how? You’ve sent a message to someone that didn’t ask for it. That’s unsolicited mail you’ve sent but are now moaning because you’ve got no reply, even though they didn’t ask for it in the first place So if your working on the principle that they could at least reply, then you need to reply to dominoes and saga holidays and tell them no thanks...

I guess you're right. Who would've thought a sex site and dominoes could be linked. Also for the record I didn't moan - I asked a question. If you need help in determining what a moan is you should try harder
