Is anyone else into this pastime ?

Whether it's a lake, river or sea I love it especially if it has a diving board created by nature like a tree or rocks etc.

Would love to explore some new places especially if the waters clean !

Pm me if it's to secret to divulge in the thread.

"I look wild when I'm butterfly stroking."

How do you catch the buggers when they're flitting about all over the shop ?

I whisper to them, don't damage the stock, come to me.

Brighton - even Hove!

Be careful about jumping into wild water as you might not see stuff just below the surface and your body might go into temporary paralysis due to cold shock.

Southport

We do sea and lake swims as part of triathlon. Much prefer to be in a wetsuit and swim 'wild' as you put it than swimming in a pool

Rivers and lakes for me. It's the jelly fish that put me off the sea

Was working away abroad recently and there were loads of the buggers varying from the small thumb sized ones to dinner plate size ones

Hiding in the shadows

I swim weekly in the sea here, even in winter

I'm also a volunteer lifeguard during the summer, we get a lot of day trippers & tourist's who have no concept of tides & currents!

Maldon

I love it and done it today. River Cher at Chenonceaux.

Third French river that I’ve been in this year.

At the risk of bragging - my highlight was in July. The Aveyron with my naughty nurse. A naked swim and a fuck while a snake swam past and a French dog walker winked and wished is a good afternoon.

Do it when I get the chance. Did a lot of wildswimming when I was an undergrad in North Wales. Plenty of mountain lakes to swim in, and the seas around Anglesey were full of life.

I'm lucky to do a bit in the dales and on holiday these days.

"Did you swim there. I wouldn't go near the buggers"

It was to late I was already snorkelling and felt something brush against my hand and I was amongst them.

Luckily the bigger ones were rare compared with the little ones.

Here in Dorset we have jelly fish the size of dustbin lids in summer although I've never been stung by the big ones I avoid them.

I scuba dive here in the UK and see jelly fish that to me look like Tesco shopping bags until they sting you.

Not nice when you’ve still got 20m if water between you and the surface

Open water swimming I didn’t get into until I did one in 2009 at Strathclyde Park and was instantly hooked.

Those dark mountain lakes are freezing, makes you feel alive though

Cant swim well and almost drowned in my fave place for this. A river bend with a natural gravel beach. The spot is privatly owned now with a sign to keep people out as they want the nature to return(too many peckerwoods leaving the place in a tip), but it had a natural mudslide and a cliff like area plus a rope swing and rapids upstream
