In my case, I only have myself to blame as i'm in self imposed exile in the middle of the channel!

I live in the north east and most i now speak with are north west or south east

Where I live people I fancy are minimal, almost none existent so I always have to travel a minimum of 90 mins round trip. I look to the Midlands and further South and there are so many. There also a few hotties in Scotland and Ireland too.

I do travel though but I don't get chance to as often as I like. That is the annoying and frustrating part. I don't know what I would do if for some reason I could no longer drive, that would be my Fab life ruined.

I definitely agree with this. If you spend enough time engaging with someone here and have the opportunity to actually chat to them on the phone ahead of a meet you'll have a good indication of how well the meet may actually go.

I can travel but it's rare I have the opportunity because I have a dog to care for and no one to look after her. So overnight meets away from home can be difficult. I mainly meet at mine or meet local people to me. I don't particularly like being in a hotel room alone with a virtual stranger anyway as I had a bad experience and it has put me off. And I certainly don't want to wake up next to somebody I just met. I've slept alone for years and it's something that I would struggle with.

I just fantasise over the hotties that aren't accessible to me.

I have done the distance is no object thing in the past and it was fine till it all became very one sided. Now I'm looking for someone I can jump on on a week night too which kinda restricts the distance but finding someone locally seems to be proving a challenge, the local pool isn't huge it would seem and just getting them to actually turn up as planned for a social seems to be a step too far most of the time!

oh the joys of a fab life and living on an island. For us an hour travelling sees us about £60 lighter and in Portsmouth, Lymington or Southampton.

Sadly this makes a social so much of a gamble that its pretty much clubs for us as we can't afford to do the trip for a no-show. We are happy to meet, befriend and travel for those we have a rapport with, and have done this.

Thankfully the island does throw up the odd gem so it's not all bad.

I travel all over anyway with work and visiting friends around the country, the Fab issue is that most womens profiles on here outside of 30 miles state they won't even entertain meeting someone who lives further than a 20 minute drive away so I just don't bother even contacting. I meet a lot of hot women in York and Leeds when I go out anyway, they just aren't on Fab

Homework!! You can get a fair idea of a person through spending time getting to know them on here and viewing their pics if they share honest ones.

Obviously you can't "know" until you have met in person, but the above hasn't failed me yet "

I do that already, but only with people I don't have to travel over an hour and a half to see.

There's always a risk I might want to walk out, and I don't want to be in a totally strange area.
