Is banned from the school talent show

A 14 year old boy has been banned from appearing as a drag queen at his schools talent show..

The school cited it wasn't age appropriate..and he needed to be 18

Do you think a 14 year old is appropriate as a drag queen ?

Limbo

If his material was age appropriate for his audience I don't see the problem.

"If his material was age appropriate for his audience I don't see the problem. "

Apparently he was going to be lip syncing to a tape his step father had put together ..

So long as the content was certificate 12 or whatever, absolutely.

That could be dangerous.

Does the school also have a problem with the Christmas pantomime when it features characters playing the opposite sex?

I was going to say that but Pantomime dames aren't usually as crude as drag queens.

I agree.

One article I read made it sound like the school were concerned about sexual innuendo and bad language. In which case it wasn't appropriate for a school audience.

Boys dress up as girls when they are kids all the time. Silliness.

If there was any evidence this kid was doing an adult show, then the police and social work would be involved.

This kid could be the next Lily Savage or Danny la Rue.

The publicity generated by the school’s stupidity has given him a profile now he could never have imagined.

Someone told me he was on Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 and Drag Race’s Ru Paul called in to support him. He’ll be feeling on top of the world!

He looks great in the pics I've seen. Could be the publicity he needs for a top career.
