Hi,

Just need some advice.

I’ve got a date this afternoon. Checked the weather an it’s going to be 29c. So hot! Question is it ok to wear shorts on a first date?

As long as its not something you'd wear to the gym, should be fine. I wouldn't wear jeans in this weather

Maybe tell your date that you’ll be keeping it casual due to the heat, otherwise she may rock up dressed to the nines and feel a bit overdressed.

In this weather I would not bat an eyelid if you turned up in shorts and a t-shirt. Even a vest style t-shirt if it's blistering and we're going to sit outside.

It would depend on where the date is though. You can't sit in a nice restaurant in shorts and a vest top.

Wear a vest top (pristine white or light blue) underneath in case it hits the high 90s and you want a little relax on the grass later

I wore jeans without underwear on a first date once.

Genuinely felt like my knob had been run through a cheese grater.

Still just about performed but it was like my own personal Vietnam.
