I think it depends where you live.

There are very few black folk in Chester, and until about 2 years ago we never saw any!

So that would have raised a few eyebrows, albeit silently.

I'm not part of an interracial couple so I can't speak from personal experience, but I see a lot around and 99% of people don't seem to have an issue with it.

Not really. One gets used to it, but to be honest I turn a blind eye to it. The more you think about it, the more paranoid you become.

I had a social with a black guy a few months ago. When I arrived at the pub he was in the car park waiting. He told me he wouldn't go in because in places like that people would stop and stare at us!!!

I was quite miffed because he felt like that tbh as it's now 2018!!

Anyway we ended up going somewhere where he felt a bit more comfortable.

I very rarely see mixed couples in Liverpool, compared to other big cities like Brum etc.Go to "ordinary" pubs and bars in Lpool and you will rarely see a black face , I'm talking city centre not just out in the suburbs.

Mate of mine here had an Egyptian boyfriend a couple of years ago, but couldn't tell her family...crazy

A friend and her partner go out some places are fine and some they still get odd stares

I’d love say no mixed cpl can go an do anything but I know from experience they still get some funny looks
