we are off to skiathos in a few weeks and hoping to enjoy beautiful Banana beach.....does anyone know if things are still the same there,,,heard rumours the tavern had gone etc

Assuming you are talking about small banana... A new small taverna on the beach but it is very expensive. The sunbeds are 20 euro but much nicer than the old ones.Access now is up the road before the parking areas at Koukounaries - next to what used to be the abandoned "Village Taverna" (now reopened and quite smart). Parking is difficult and limited. Many naturists have moved to Agistros & Elias beaches although still plenty on small banana. Enjoy your holiday here on Skiathos.

Just been to Little Banana today.

It is a far better beach than the others.

Get bus €2, or sea taxi as I did, €5 from Skiathos Town, then take the 10 minute walk or so, up and down the hill past the barrier.

Plenty beach towel spaces there for free.
