It also informs the uninformed idiots (to a degree) so they they may garner the knowledge that they are lacking and thus enable them to (hopefully) become more competent at whatever it is they may be incompetant at.

What it is, is a multiple choice test that looks at knowledge of objective, undisputed information that is widely available in the public sphere.

Things like "what percentage of the population is Muslim" or "how much of the national budget, as a proportion of GDP, is spent on Jobseekers Allowance" or "what proportion of the welfare bill goes towards pensions"

Score 100% you get a full vote. 50% half a vote. 0% sorry, fuck off and stick to X-Factor, this is too important for the likes of you...

I've found in life that even a person may appear to be "stupid", their minds work differently and they can apply an oblique approach to life and problems that I sometimes admire. "Ignorance is bliss" is probably sometimes a good thing, for some.

In all fairness, if you watch 'Tommy' giving an address to the Oxford Union, he actually presents quite a considered, nuanced argument that I found myself surprisingly agreeing with the majority of what he was saying.

I believe he allowed himself to be incarcerated in order to stay in the news and ensure that people would rally.

We have an unprotected freedom of speech here and all the defense of Robinson and hateful comments cite the fact that we have freedom of speech. It can be withdrawn, topics can be legislated and, in this day of the internet, hosts can censor.

The problem with stupid people is they’re never wrong, they can’t empathise with the other person and understand their argument.

They won’t budge on their position, regardless of any valid arguments brought to them.

They overestimate there skills and underestimate the competence of others.

Like those that know brexit is right or wrong because they are clever and people who disagree are stupid. With not a single lucid fact they haven't read in a pro or against propaganda sheet to back it up

Short of personally knowing somebody for some time it is almost impossible to make that judgment.

I also know several incredibly intelligent people who I would class as stupid, and a number of people who think they are stupid are farcreom it and trust my life to.

Why modern day judging of other people without experience direcrly of them is such a very sad development.

I certainly wouldn't class somebody different political views, values or opinions to my own as stupid purely because they held them. However strongly I disagree with their logic or thought processes to get there.

Brexit was a very tough choice, and I can see, and could have voted, either way, voting Labour or Conservative I struggle to understand how a sane person sometimes could vote a particular way

That doesn't make them stupid.

In my experience that happens with intelligent debaters too. They won't budge from their position, even when a valid, opposing argument is aired.
