Just an Idea but how does the group feel ref Tradesmen offering their services through the forum.

As a joiner I have had many situations where a customer has made it clear that not just tea and biscuits were on offer, but also so many where it was ambiguous .....

Nice to have clarity from the off and super discounts all round everybodies happy lol

If you don't take money, surely that's a case of no taxable income.

I can’t remember the exact wording but from a tax point of view, it could be regarded as “notional income”

Fine for those that do it if they want. I just find it a bit seedy/manipulative

I would be worried they would be substandard at doing both the work and doing me

I am guessing he would have to rush to get both finished on time

In the middle

I had a “friend” years ago who put a shower in for me, he said if I gave him a bj I could keep the money, I said here’s your money now piss off back to your wife!!! Strangely enough we haven’t spoken since, the point being this is life not a Carry On film, some people might prefer it your way but to me it was sleezy and a bit insulting so I for one wouldn’t get anyone round to do work on that premise.

No you see fun starts when work is done checked and customer is happy then come the customer satisfaction survey.

And by the way the discount would not be dependant on sex that would be a wee bit seedy its just an opportunity to network and also have fun

Unless you're a prostitute I know a girl who was so successful, she opened a second pair of legs in another town

Exactly. I was formerly a tradesman and I did get some thinly veiled offers. I side swiped them pretending naivety.

The job I’m doing now, if there was any hint of someone expecting that arrangement, they wouldn’t be seeing me again.

I wonder how many users who call themselves Professionals on here would consider this. With being professional, comes responsibilities, ethics, morals.

I think it's a bit off, to be honest-and not allowed on here. I'm not a prostitute and I don't want a man thinking I owe him something because he's fixed my house.

You did ask “how does the group feel...?” I cannot speak for everyone; only give my own opinion.

If we are keeping it light, then I’ll admit it can be a good ice breaker but on the understanding it is just banter or the job that needs done is done with no expectations.

At it's least, it's unprofessional, at it's worst it's abusive

I agree it’s unprofessional.

If it works for both parties each to their own, but I personally wouldn’t be risking my livelihood for a bit of fun that I can get on here for example.

I love the idea of this - seems like a bit of sexy fun!

I could most certainly also offer services from what I do for a living (which I don’t want to disclose on here for identification purposes I’m not a lady of the night though lol) and help a lot of people

Ohh it was a blokey jokey thread was it? Strange it doesn’t read like it, try starting your thread “just for a laugh what about if I.......” that shows your intentions clearer than asking how preople felt about your ideas
